These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Film O’Clock Industry Hub at hub.foc-iff.com. By using the Hub, creating an account, submitting a profile or publishing a project, you agree to these Terms.

2. Purpose of the Hub

The Hub is a professional networking platform for the film and audiovisual sector. It is designed to help members, organizations and project teams discover each other, present professional profiles, publish projects, find opportunities and support collaboration across the Film O’Clock network.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account or profile.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
  • You must not create accounts or profiles that impersonate another person or organization.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms, misuse the Hub or create legal, security or reputational risks.

4. Profiles, projects and user content

You are responsible for the content you submit, including member profiles, organization profiles, project descriptions, images, portfolio links, filmography, opportunities, comments or messages. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to publish that content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

By submitting content to the Hub, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, format, reproduce and make that content available as needed to operate and promote the Hub and its networking features. You retain ownership of your content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Hub to:

  • publish false, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, abusive or harmful content;
  • upload malware, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with website security;
  • scrape, harvest or misuse personal data or contact details from the Hub;
  • send spam or unsolicited commercial messages;
  • publish content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
  • misrepresent professional credits, project status, funding, affiliation or authorization to act for an organization.

6. Moderation and removal

We may review, edit, reject, unpublish or remove content where we believe it breaches these Terms, creates risk, is outdated, is submitted to the wrong area, or is incompatible with the purpose of the Hub. We are not obliged to pre-screen all content.

7. No guarantee of opportunities or collaboration

The Hub helps people and organizations discover each other, but we do not guarantee employment, funding, selection, project participation, festival access, contracts, sales, distribution, partnerships or any specific professional outcome.

8. Third-party links, services and content

The Hub may link to third-party websites, opportunities, events, organizations, payment providers, embedded media or external tools. We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, availability or privacy practices.

9. Fees and paid features

If paid listings, subscriptions, products, memberships or other paid features are enabled, the applicable price, taxes, payment terms and refund information will be shown during the purchase flow or on the relevant page. Additional terms may apply to specific paid services.

10. Intellectual property

The Hub’s design, branding, platform structure, text, graphics and other materials are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to us or our licensors, except for user content and third-party materials. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit platform materials except as allowed by law or with written permission.

11. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of the Hub at any time. We aim to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure access.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Hub is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of data, reputational harm, or disputes between users, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that users may have under applicable consumer or data protection laws.
