Grain Film is an independent fiction film production company based in Chisinau, founded by producer Liviu Scutaru, who has nearly a decade of experience in the audiovisual industry. His credits include projects such as “Varvara” (Anatol Durbală, 2023), “Kretsul” (Alexandra Likhacheva, 2023), “Transit Times” (Ana Felicia Scutelnicu, 2026), and “Hotarul” (Ion Bors, 2025), covering the filmmaking process from development to distribution. Grain Film pursues an international outlook and develops culturally relevant films in collaboration with strong artistic voices. Each project is conceived as a necessary work, driven by the power of ideas rather than trends.

The creative process combines artistic freedom with production discipline, without limitations of genre or format, with a focus on quality and artistic relevance. Its name, “Grain”, refers to film grain: a symbol of authenticity, texture, and the beauty of imperfection.
